Vice President of Swiss Confederation leaves Oman after three-day visit

Muscat: Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER), left the country this morning after a three-day working visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

The Federal Councillor was accompanied during the visit by Andreas Widmer, Head of Communications at the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Miriam Gurtner, Senior Advisor to the Vice President of the Swiss Confederation, Alois Alwy Passable, Deputy Head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division for the Middle East and Africa and a number of chief executive officers from a group of Swiss companies.
